Beware - Fake Parking Citation
September 03, 2025

A resident of Huntsville found this fake parking citation on their vehicle. Their thumb is covering up a QR Code. If you find a suspicious citation, DO NOT scan the QR code, as it could potentially be a way to gain access to your personal information. There are several things that make this ticket an obvious fake.
1. Spelling Errors
2. No contact information for the court other than the suspicious QR code.

3. Incorrect Agency name
4. No address where the alleged “violation” occurred.
The “violation” listed is not a traffic code violation in the state of Texas.
If you have any questions about a citation you receive from a Huntsville Police Officer or a parking citation you find on your vehicle, please contact the Huntsville Municipal Court at (936) 291-5476.
