About our Program

Walker County/Huntsville Crime Stoppers Program, established in 1987, is an independent community-based, non-profit organization working in partnership with the Huntsville Police Department and the Walker County Sheriff Department. Crime Stoppers is an effective tool to fight crime to make our community a safer place for everyone. Our organization operates as an independent organization made up of local citizens. Donations of airtime, newspaper space, and reward monies have established Crime Stoppers as an effective tool to fight crime in our area.
