Crime Stoppers held its 2015 Food Drive for the Good Shepherd Mission at Brookshire Brothers in Huntsville. Crime Stoppers wishes to thank Brookshire Brothers for their assistance in this food drive for our community. The Good Shepherd Mission brought their truck to the event. Thanks to the outstanding donations from the community the drive was a huge success. The attached photo shows two members of the board and the boxes of food that were collected at the event.
Walker County Crime Stoppers set up a booth at this event. Crime Stoppers had a mock jail where those wanting to take photos of being inside the jail were able to do so without having to pay to get these photos done. This event was to inform those at the event on the purpose of Crime Stoppers. The photos taken were sent to the community person attending this event. There was a constant line of persons getting their photos done inside the jail booth.
The Walker County/Huntsville Crime Stoppers held its 2015 Annual Crime Stoppers Bowling Tournament at Huntsville Lanes. The event was a successful fund raiser for crime stoppers thanks to the participants at the event. The attached photos show the winning teams at the event. Crime Stopper wishes to thank all those who made this event possible.
Crime Stoppers will be hosting a car wash on September 13, 2014 from 9 am to 2 pm at the Walker County Annex located at 1301 University Avenue.
Crimestoppers made a request to honor the law enforcement officers in Walker County. The Huntsville City Council read a proclaimation on May 15, 2012 proclaiming the week as National Police Week. Mayor Mac Woodward read the proclaimation honoring the police officers of Walker County.The below photo show the local law enforcement agencies Texas Department of Public Safety, Huntsville Police Department, Walker County Sheriff Department, Sam Houston Police Department, Constable Pct 2, Constable Pct. 3, Zhejlang Police Collete, and members of Crimestoppers present at that meeting.
Crime Stoppers float entry for the Lions Club Christmas Parade on December 10,2011 was a Bonnie and Clyde float pictured below.Bonnie was Vice-Chairman Marilyn Cummings and Clyde was member Larry Crippen. Members enjoyed the fun and fellowship in putting this float together.
Crime Stoppers took time after business to get together to celebrate Christmas together as a Crime Stopper family. It was a time for all to visit, relax, and share menories during the year.
Aleshia Davis was recognized at the Crime Stoppers meeting for her help in activities sponsored by the group. Davis has devoted numerous hours within the program and at meetings to help insure activities were a sucess.
Jerry Hightower was recognized for his continual help in his duties and helping in the events of Crime Stoppers. Jerry Hightower has devoted numerous hours of volunteer time in the community and Crime Stoppers.
Crime Stoppers had it's second garage sale this past Saturday, April 2, 2011. There was many items at the sale donated by citizens of Walker County. The members of the Walker County Huntsville Crime Stoppers want to thank them for their donations. These items were also purchased by our citizens has helped this program continue in its efforts to help law enforcement in solving crimes. Crime Stoppers want to thank all who participated and worked at this event.
Members of Crime Stoppers worked with the school Crime Stoppers program to put together a float for the 2010 Lions Christmas Parade. The Grinch was stopped from keeping Christmas from happening. Members had fun putting the float together and then participating in the parade.
Walker County Huntsville Crime Stoppers had a Garage Sale on June 4, 2010. Crime Stopper had a successful garage sale on that date. We wish to thank the person donating items to the garage sale. We also thank all of the citizens that came out and supported us in the garage sale.
